Poor Motherboard

ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Good motherboard once it boots - however it has a persistant issue (which others have experienced) where if you many USB devices, it will hang with an A2, AD or AE code. So far no solution is in the office, and I am replacing this paperweight with a non ASUS product.

Cons: I have just over 17 usb devices plugged into my system. From camera's to microphones, to pedals and steering wheels and joysticks - it is amazing how many usb devices I have. So if you have more than 8 devices (and who does not have a keyboard, mouse, steering wheel, pedals, shifter, joystick, camera and microphone etc..?) - this board will hang on reboot. If you power off the PSU - it will boot successfully once. But then will hang on warm restarts. I have been trying to diagnose the issue for a long time - and finally found a video on youtube where another user experienced these exact problems - and even purchased a 2nd X99-Deluxe and it exhibited the very same problem. Won't boot with too many USB devices.

Broken Intel Network Interface

Cons: I essentially had to install a separate NIC as the intel NIC runs for a bit, and then fails. It's a known problem with this particular Intel NIC interface. Unfortunately, already installed and running - and don't want to remove it, ship it, etc...

Overall Review: Pass on ASUS.
