This review is from: Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Memory for Apple Model CT2K8G3S160BM
Pros: It works
Other Thoughts: I bought this to upgrade my mac mini from 4GB to 16GB. Install was easy except for opening the mini's cover (not an issue with crucial). Mountain Lion detected new memory right away. Overall system performance improved greatly with the extra memory especially when running VMware. I thought about saving a few bucks by getting pc memory but am glad I got Apple "certified" instead.READ FULL REVIEW
5 year warranty
Other Thoughts: From reading the reviews I expected to see a blazing performance increase. Really isn't any faster than my old IDE drive. Drive is very noisy. Sounds like my old 5 1/4" SCSI drives from 15 years ago. I can hear if over four system fans spinning at max rpm. Would I buy another?? Yes and I did when newegg had it on sale. It might be loud and not terribly quick, but it's reasonably priced and I like the 5 year warranty.READ FULL REVIEW
long cables for bottom mounted cases
Cons: modular cables are stiff
storage bag is vinyl and not velor
Other Thoughts: The above cons are not really con's but me being picky. Power supply is very heavy..hope that means it has some quality. Plenty of power for my rig. Looks good also. Bought it for about half it's list price when Newegg knocked around $30 from it's cost, then took more off for a combo deal. Then to sweeten the deal more Newegg offered an additional $10 rebate card.READ FULL REVIEW
