Pros: Can't think of any
Cons: I have been building computers for more than 20 years. This is my first bad review. After spending more than 18 hours "fixing" this motherboard I hope it will remain stable. MSI's Live Update 5 has driver errors in it. When first installed some of the device drivers for the MB were from 2006 and would not update on their own. Many, many BSOD. Live Update 5 has a download feature that is very, very slow. Skip this and go directly to the MSI site and download the drivers onto a thumb drive. There are two download sites and usually one or the other is pretty quick. When you do numerous clean installs you will have the MSI drivers on the thumb drive and won't have to re-download them. The problems with this board are MSI problems. This board is not ready for retail in my opinion. Having outdated drivers on the support site and missing drivers is inexcusable. Incorrect drivers I believe caused crashes (BSOD) and corrupt files (many clean installs). I have PC-Doctor Tools and repeated scans found no hardware issues.
Other Thoughts: Possibly my problems come from running Windows 8.1 on the new Intel I7 4770K 3.5G with onboard video. The main drive is a Samsung 840 Pro. Should have been a 30 minute install but wasn't. I own more than 10 MSI MB and they are all running CPUs with Intel HD graphics (all have Windows 7 on them). All of my computers are for business and so not have graphic cards. I will have to find a MB with a manufacturer that is keeping up with its products. I know I will not be trying MSI again anytime soon.READ FULL REVIEW
