This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P (rev. 2.0) AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Cool, low voltage overclock on an FX-6300 to 4.5 GHz. Has all the features I was looking for.
Cons: Doesn't have features I wasn't going to use anyway?
Crossfire/SLI, Thunderbolt, DDR4...
Other Thoughts: This board does have its quirks, I'll admit, but it's nonetheless a very decent performer for the price.
Easy to overclock, especially coming from C2Q on a P45 board. There seems to be a lot of fuss over 4+1 vs. 8+2 phase power, but with liquid cooling and a fan pointed toward the VRMs, it's had perfectly acceptable temps even taking it up to 4.8 GHz. Feels like I might even be able to hit 5 GHz if I cared about that sort of thing. 4.5 on the 6300 seems a great balance of extra performance without voltage levels that will make the chip last less than 10 years.
Overall, I'm quite pleased I didn't spend more on stuff I don't need in a board.
This review is from: Pantum P2502W Duplex 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi wireless/USB mono Laser Printer
Pros: Decent print quality, very inexpensive, wireless!
Cons: For $30 on sale, there are no cons!
Other Thoughts: The more I use this printer, the more impressed I am. I need to print a bit as a student and I was looking for a laser printer that was easy on the budget. This fit the bill for price, but I am pleased as punch that not only is it wireless (cinch to set up btw), but the manual duplexing is super easy too!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Panasonic RP-HT227 Stereo Headphone
Other Thoughts: These phones have lasted well enough for the price. The cushions started flaking and as they aren't easily replaced it was time for some new phones. Spent a little extra and got some Koss Porta-Pros. I never realized how much I was missing! Listening to the Pannys now is like listening to grown-ups speaking to Charlie Brown. I cannot recommend these headphones.READ FULL REVIEW
