Pros: Each band works. 300 - 450M
Cons: This does not allow you to get up to 1300Mbps. That is an outright lie. I just got off the phone with ASUS support. I called them because I could only get one band to connect at a time. They told me that this adapter does not allow for both bands simultaneously. When you connect one band, it disconnects the other. ASUS and Newegg are falsely advertising its capabilities.
Other Thoughts: I bought this and an ASUS RT-AC68U router to replace running cable. I needed to get close to the 1G speed and reading the specs on this, that's what I should get. This has been a complete waste of time and money and, while I've been a long-time customer of ASUS products and Newegg, I find myself questioning my continued patronage. I'm very annoyed and disappointed.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2BAA 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: The most amazing upgrade I've ever done. I'm ordering one for each of our 23 machines. Easily installed. Fast.
Cons: The only con is that I don't have more of them.
Other Thoughts: Installed in a video editing computer. On a recent shoot, we lost power for just a couple seconds. All machines went down but this one was back up in less than 20 seconds! Took about 10 minutes to bring up the rest. Simply amazing.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It's a drive.
Cons: Ran just fine for about 3 months, then died. In fact, 2 of these did the exact same thing within a couple weeks of each other.
Other Thoughts: We've switched to a SSD for the OS on all of computers. We used to buy nothing but WD drives but lately they just don't work! The systems we had these in are mission critical so obviously we can't take a chance on yet another WD drive going belly up. Sorry WD, we loved you for years but you've let us down two too many times.READ FULL REVIEW
