Pros: - Lightweight
- USB 3 powered (single cord, no need for additional power!!)
Cons: - Does not work on Linux (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS)
Other Thoughts: Other than asking for DisplayLink support on Ubuntu it would be nice to see another method for holding the screen. The case has two positions, however, it would be real handy if there was an additional stand like I have with my DoubleSight Display http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824185013&cm_re=doublesight-_-24-185-013-_-Product
Other than that this monitor is a winner! Programmers, Admins and Contractors rejoice! ;-)
Pros: Good price
Cons: DOA (Dead on Arrival)
Other Thoughts: I read the reviews and thought, "Could there really be so many DOA drives? From Western Digital? I been buying there drives for better than a decade and they have always had good quality!"
So I ordered two of the 4TB Reds to add to my personal NAS. I received my HD's and placed the first of two in the Synology to hear that gut wrenching sound "click, mmmm scrape click" over and over again.
I thought to myself... "Okay so I got a bad one. The other would certainly be okay and I'll just RMA the one."
The other didn't sound bad on boot, however, I checked the array in the morning to find that there was another failure... the slot with the new hard drive! I thought "Now Way!" and took it out to my workstation to hook it up and test the drive with the Western Digital Data LifeGuard Diagnostics to have it fail on first pass with Bad Sectors found.
This is the first time I have seen this type of back to back failure of equipment that wasn't damage in shipment or viewed to be exposed to anything that would generally make you question their stability when used.
Cons: Cable separates from the end.
Other Thoughts: Save your money and don't buy this one.READ FULL REVIEW
