Nice for the price
Pros: Small, fits pocket nicely. AA batteries. Decent photo quality. Comes with some good Canon software if you don't already have it. Large view screen. Decent battery life with NiMH rechargables (not included).
Cons: Auto focus not entirely reliable (my retiring A80 was much more accurate); half press feature is extemely sensative, takes practice to master. No cover for view screen, view screen not adjustable, no optical view finder.
Overall Review: Overall this is a decent point and shoot camera with reasonably good photos. Rated five egg because of its price, obviously does not compare to more costly models, but if you want a simple point and shoot that takes good pictures, you won't go wrong with this.
Doubtful
Pros: Great board , loved everything about it until it died 31 days after purchase. I hope that the second one that I bought for another computer lasts longer than this one.
Cons: Died after 31 days.
Overall Review: Gigabyte web site is very unfriendly. Hope their people are more helpful.
Nice drive
Pros: Great looking Solid builld Performs as described
Cons: USB cable is only 3 inches Nero software No free mpeg decoder
Overall Review: Very nice looking drive that performs exactly as described. The short usb cable can be a problem but it is nice to have one 'built in' in case you forget to bring a longer one. I don't like nero but I installed it to see if it came with an mpeg decoder. It does but only a thirty day trial after that you must pay or download a free one. Works great with image burn.
Surprisingly good for something from Sony
Pros: I tried this from their free download and it's a lot better than any others I've found (have since purchased it). I used Ulead for a long time and prefer their interface but can learn to use this since the final results are far superior. Has just about every feature you can ask for as an amateur for a reasonable price.
Cons: It's from Sony and I've had too many bad experiences with them in the past over poor equipment. This, however, is a good program;hope I don;t come to regret it in the future.
No title
Pros: These are great cards. I'm using them in Canon Vixia HF100 with excellent results. Price is a lot more attractive than the SanDisk and Matsushita that Canon recommends.
Cons: None
Great camera, great price
Pros: This is a great camera for its price. Still images are only so-so. There is too much loss of quality on anything over 8 x 10; however, most people aren’t buying it for stills. Snap shot size is really not bad. The video image quality is excellent; not quite as good as satellite or cable but very, very good. Editing is a problem as others have noted. I tried the Pixela program that comes with the camera; it is not as bad as many have said, it just doesn’t have the multitude of options available with other programs. It is included in the price however. I tried Corel Video Studio Pro X2 because I have used Ulead in the past and prefer its interface over the others; results were extremely disappointing. I hate to say anything good about Sony but Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9 Pro Pack does a really good job of producing very good (not excellent) quality standard DVDs. It certainly has just about everything an amateur can ask for as far as features. I don’t like their timeline
Cons: Still images could be better. Battery life could be longer. Could come with an HDMI cable.
Overall Review: I love it. No complaints at all.
