Pros: It's a card reader. It comes with both a black bezel, and a silver bezel.
Cons: One bezel was broken when I rec'd one of the three I ordered.
Other Thoughts: I saw this was on sale, and thought I'd do another review. I've had one in my PC for several (6? 8? I can't remember!) years, and it's worked fine. Used it with Win XP, Win Vista, and Win7. I bought a couple for family members as well, one of the three that I have bought came with a broken bezel. Not too bad I suppose, 1 out of 6 bezels(they each come with a silver bezel, and a black bezel). I'd still buy it again if I needed another one.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Canon PIXMA MG5420 (Black) Wireless Color Multifunction Inkjet Printer
Pros: Great picture quality prints, easy to use menus, prints CD's, wireless
Cons: Printing CD's is a tad tedious, if you want to do multiples. Each time you tell it to scan & print to a CD, it wants the CD slot closed. Then it tells you to open the slot, insert the CD tray. If the CD slot is open, it will prompt you to close it, then again to open it. I feel this will cause unnecessary wear & tear on the hinges for the CD slot cover.
Other Thoughts: That's my only gripe about this MFP. I bought it at a local box store 3 months ago. Set up was a breeze. The instructions are easy to follow, and laid out well on a poster-sized sheet. Following the directions, wifi connectivity was a breeze. It has 2 paper trays, both are pretty small. One is only for smaller things like photos, while the other tray is for letter/A4 paper. It is a sleek design and looks very nice. I would recommend this model to anyone looking for a MFP inkjet.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It's roomy. It will fit big GPU's and CPU coolers. Cable management openings are abundant and well placed. Hard drive "tool free" design works very well. 5.25" bays, not so much ( see below). PLENTY of air flow, and cooling options.Use up to a total of 4-200mm fans (2/top-1/front-1/side), and 2-120MM or 140mm fans (rear/bottom). I don’t watercool, so I won’t comment on this. An adjustable mount for the power supply is a very nice little feature.
Easy-to-remove screens for the intake fans should help with the dust inside.
Cons: 5.25" "tool less design" is a bit lacking in quality. One of them wouldn't latch, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. The ones that DO work, leave the CDrom loose, so it can wiggle around. the clips pop out easily though, so you can use screws on the 5.25" bays.
The top fan makes a slight noise- like a ticking or something. It's really faint, hardly noticable 90% of the time. But I know it's there, and that' just won't do. I read in an older review that you can modify these fans with bushings to fix the problem. Also, Coolermaster 200mm fans fit, I had one so I put it in the front, and moved both color-shifting fans to the top.
Other Thoughts: I'm not opposed to LED's in a PC, but I'm not a fan either. My PC is a gaming / media center PC, and lives next to the ent. center. Having both LED fans up top isn't terribly distracting, they just aren't too awful bright. In fact, my memory sticks are brighter shining thru the window & back vents (4 sticks of Crucial Ballistix Tracer) The power button in standby is incredibly bright though. If you nap near your napping PC, you might want to cover that. The blue accents: the front pieces are easily spray painted. I painted mine flat black, and they blend right in. There are 2 thin blue plastic strips along the top, that can be popped out easily if you want to paint them too. The blue on the feet appears to be some sort of sticker, but the feet can be removed to be painted as well.
Using the 2-200mm supplied fans on top, and my coolermaster fan on the front, this case stays nice and cool. The case is big. I bet I could fit my old Thermaltake V9 inside it, if it weren't for the drive bays.
Kit comes with plenty of twist ties, a few zip ties, and an assortment of screws. Enough screws to install a fan in each fan slot, except the side fan. The top USB 3.0 is set up for motherboards with 3.0 on-board. Mine doesn't have that. Guess I'll be upgrading soon!.
I would recommend this case to anyone. It's superb, even with the minor flaws I mentioned. (Providing the size doesn't intimidate them!)
I docked it one full egg due to (a) the ticking fan, and (b) the 5.25" tool-less failure. Less blue, or color options would be nice.
