This review is from: Rosewill RX81U-ES-25B 2.5" IDE to USB 2.0 External Enclosure
Pros: Sleek, compact and affordable - I am giving eggs because I like Rosewill and NewEgg - however, one DOE unit out of two is BAD
Cons: Bought two units .... one was DOE ... the price was such that I will not RMA the unit .... I will check out the competitors to replace the DOE one
Other Thoughts: I am a manufacturing engineer (24 yrs) .... the small PCB within the unit needs better quality controls (checks) to catch the defective boards before they go out the door ... also, have the product design engineers redesign the snaps holding the upper and lower covers ... they need to be more flexible and yet more robust to breaking (material change ?)READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Saitek ECB43002N002/06/1 Black USB Wired Slim Eclipse Lite-touch Keyboard
Pros: The feel of the keys and the response is excellent. The touch pad is great. Because I often use the touch pad to enter data into Quicken, I was worried that the touch pad may be a gimmick and not perform well. I am happy to report, it does perform well, I love it.
Cons: The keyboard layout takes a little getting use to. Also, to setup your custom profile for the touch pad is extremely easy, but to make your custom profile the default profile for boot required an email to the manufacturer. Their response was excellent … within 24 hours I was given the solution (but please put it in the user manual). Solution: right the tool tray icon, then right click the saved custom profile name and then left click “set as default”.
Other Thoughts: For $30, free shipping and from a manufacturer that cares about customer response, this one of the best deals I have recently received.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: XIGMATEK COA-UGBGBS-U01 2.5" to 3.5" Hard Drive Adapter
Pros: Adds another front ventilation input directly in line with the southbridge while drawing air across my SSDs.
Cons: The front grill screws were a tad difficult to mount due to minimal screwdriver clearance. I mounted SSDs into the unit requiring screws to be installed. Of the , were not aligned and almost went in skewed. But they were straightened out by sheer muscular persuasion.
Other Thoughts: Slightly oversize the drive mounting holes. Secondly, add a "QC Check" (poke yoke fixture) into the manufacturing processes after the stamping (bending and punching) step to assure the processes are in control and the mounting holes are being made with the proper alignment.READ FULL REVIEW
