SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7950 DirectX 11 100352-3L 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Cheaper 7950, at least when I bought them.

Cons: Cooling solution seems flimsy.

Other Thoughts: Had 3 of these, now have 2. I used them for mining for a while and after a few months the fans started to fail. Bought some replacements from an auction site. Still using two of them in Crossfire for gaming. With a mild overclock they still run with anything on the market.

Polk Audio PSW Series PSW10 Black 10-inch Powered Subwoofer Single

Pros: Extends the low end of my bookshelf speakers so that music sounds the way it should.

I'm a former audio pro, but not a snob. This is good for a budget music system that won't need to fill a giant room.

Cons: Probably not great for HT or in a big room, but will certainly annoy the neighbors if you want.

Other Thoughts: Keep the level low, work with the crossover, let your main speakers do the work, and this is a great sub. It's not going to rock the party, so to speak, but for casual listening paired with bookshelf speakers (AR-215PS) and a low end receiver (Onkyo TX-8211) it makes for a full listening experience.

AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5 GHz (4.1 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W FD6300WMHKBOX Desktop Processor
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Outperforms my E31245

Cons: Takes a heavy OC to do it.

Other Thoughts: But... it can take the heavy OC. I have it at 4500MHz now and can probably go a little higher, even with my air cooling. Not bad for $120.
