Pros: I bought this card in January 2016 to replace a pair of Sapphire 7950 boost cards. It benches slightly lower than the pair in 3DMark, but my gaming experience has much improved. Stays cool (under 80C for me), relatively quiet under load, and handles a slight overclock with zero problems. The backplate is a plus; this thing is a tank. I game at 1440p and have since bought a 144Hz freesync panel. Excellent combination. Framerates in DOOM with Vulkan, all settings at max, 1440p, range between 75 and about 100+FPS, and with freesync, the experience is amazing and butter smooth.
Cons: It's huge. I'm running a Cooler Master HAF 192 and had to remove the middle drive cage to fit it. Make sure your power supply is up to the task, and your case is capable of getting rid of hot air quickly. Mine is, so temps and noise are no problem.
Other Thoughts: The introduction of the RX480 has dropped the price on this card. I wouldn't shy away from it if you have the case size to fit it and the power supply to drive it. It's older technology but holds up well and should for quite a while. I'm considering picking up a second one.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This fits the bill for secondary storage. Primary is a 1TB 850 EVO. I use this to store games and Virtual Machines that I don't use all the time. It's worked great in the 6 months that I've used it
Cons: It is LOUD. By far it's the loudest thing in my system, easily audible over 2 200mm fans and 4 120mm fans.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Cheaper 7950, at least when I bought them.
Cons: Cooling solution seems flimsy.
Other Thoughts: Had 3 of these, now have 2. I used them for mining for a while and after a few months the fans started to fail. Bought some replacements from an auction site. Still using two of them in Crossfire for gaming. With a mild overclock they still run with anything on the market.READ FULL REVIEW
