Pros: I tested the read/write speed of the card using Crystal Disk Mark v.3.0.4 (5 iterations and 1GB file) and Transcend TS-RDF5K USB 3.0 Card Reader. The results are as follows: Seq Read/Write (MB/s): 95.38/20.73. 512K Read/Write (MB/s): 87.73/16.52. 4K Read/Write (MB/s): 5.324/1.186. 4K QD32 Read/Write (MB/s): 5.537/1.203. I was pleasantly surprised.
Cons: None so far. Hopefully the card will last long :)
Other Thoughts: I do find it strange that the card is faster than advertised/expected. I tested several other SDHC/SDXC cards I have and pretty much every single one is just as expected.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Dell E2715H Black 27" 8ms Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1,000:1
Pros: PLS panel, 27" screen, reasonable price. No speaker on this monitor (No, I don't want speakers on my monitor). Screen settings are easily adjustable through four bottons at the lower-right corner of the monitor. Also I did not find any dead or bright pixel on the screen :)
Cons: No height adjustment (only tilt).
Other Thoughts: I replaced a 22" 1680 x 1050 (TN panel) monitor with this one. The larger screen area and corresponding font size provided the much needed relief to my strained eyes. I have considered several other brand name 27" 1920 x 1080 monitors prior to the purchase. Pretty much all of them at this price range are using either TN or VA panels. BTW, I do find the default brightness at 75% too bright for me. The preset mode for Muitimedia and a 50% brightness hit the spot.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Seagate Backup Plus for Mac 3TB 3.5" USB 3.0 Mac Storage - Desktop Model STCB3000900
Pros: 1. Got about 120MB/s on USB 3.0 transferring 2TB data at once.
2. Drive turns off automatically when the PC is turned off.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I am using this 3TB for Mac drive for 32-bit Windows XP. Interestingly, there is no need to install DiscWizard from Seagate to access the full capacity. The only thing that is necessary to install is Seagate's windows driver to allow the "for Mac" drives to work on windows (i.e., HFS4Win.exe from Seagate website). That's pretty convenient.READ FULL REVIEW
