This review is from: Nero 2014 Platinum - Download
Pros: I upgraded from Nero 9 platinum for the added blu-ray authoring abilities and the software seems to be a little better overall.
Cons: The Nero launcher is obnoxious because it's full screen or nothing and has a hand full of large buttons. I don't use it anyway so it won't bother me. I would punch it in the face... if it had one...
Other Thoughts: Roman emperor Nero wasn't very nice... neither was the star trek villain Nero... I don't know why someone would name their products after such deplorable folk. Perhaps they like irony as their products are quite good.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I bought two of these (one a year ago for $90 and one two weeks ago for $137) Both had no problems initially and neither has a problem now
Cons: It would seem to me that the hdd manufacturers are milking the flood for all they can.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I'm running this on an ASUS p8p67 deluxe at 1.2V and 4.4GHz (prime 95 stable for 8 hours) with an H50 cooler with IC Diamond thermal paste. Idle is reported at 27C, P95 loaded for 8 hours it was at 55C. Ambient temp is 21-22C. It also doubled my frame rates in a game called Armed Assault OA and compressing 7zip files takes less than 50% of the time when I was previously using a xeon x3320 (similar to Core 2 Q9300) OC'd to 2.9GHZ.
Cons: I'm going to use the heat sink on another computer as the aftermarket heat sink i used on that has since failed (well the fan failed and I glued a case fan on the front of that to keep it cool (silly proprietary heat sink fans/mounts)), but I'll have to wipe the low quality thermal goop off the bottom of this stock heat sink. Wasn't stable above 4.5GHZ at 1.2V.
Other Thoughts: The Fractal Design Define R3 case I'm using works well for quietness and cable management. I have 2 case 120mm case fans in front and the cpu fan vents out the back. When the computer's not under load, the hdd arm swinging back and fourth is the loudest noise :).READ FULL REVIEW
