This review is from: Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 Deluxe Bundle Scanner for PC and Mac (PA03656-B015)
Pros: Fast, easy way to digitize paper. Takes up very little space on the desk compared with my previous flatbed scanner and is SO much faster to use. The software bundle all works together well. It is nice to be able to edit my old .pdf files to get rid of blank pages.
Cons: The software bundle installs as 4-5 separate programs rather than one multi-capable one but they all work just fine so no real problem.
Other Thoughts: I have been using a flatbed scanner for years and while it does a good job it is time consuming to sit next to it and feed one sheet at a time, turning it over when necessary. The auto doc. feeder on this works well, even with different sized paper. Wish I had this after I closed my business and had to dispose of reams of old documents.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Audio-Technica ATH-ANC23 Earphone
Pros: I bought these to replace a pair of damaged over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones which I used for travelling. These earbuds are surprisingly good at reducing the aircraft noise while reproducing mp3s and aircraft movie audio.
A big plus is that they are considerably smaller and lighter to pack in my carry on bag as well.
Cons: Not quite as much passive or active noise reduction as my previous over the ear muffs but more than adequate for my purposes.
Other Thoughts: If you are going to sit in the back of a B747 for 12 hours or so you need some noise reduction, these are great - comfortable, quiet and good sound reproduction. All in all, a great purchase.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Titanium Grey Silent ATX Mid Tower Case
Pros: A little wider than my previous cases which made cable management easier ( there is enough space underneath the motherboard area to route power and signal cables).
Plenty of room for my 4 hard drives and DVD.
Top, front USB (2 & 3), audio, reset and power access. Easily accessible fan speed control on the upper front panel.
Quiet with acoustic liner on the side panels.
Cons: No front opening for a 3.5" floppy drive but haven't used one for years anyway.
The drive cages look a little cheap but seem to work just fine.
Other Thoughts: Great case for an easy build.READ FULL REVIEW
