good for basic tasks
Pros: Low TDP 19 watts, works with the lowest end pcs, it will work in PCI-e 1.0 for older PCs it's tiny. runs cool and can play older titles such as GTA IV at medium settings. works great for everyday browsing tasks 2d games, stuff like that and takes stress of the system memory.
Cons: The consequences are it does not work good with some MMos , such as ESo for example, terrible FPS, however this card was never intended for such things. I had issues with it in Second life in case anyones considering this card for that.
Overall Review: if you want to game do not buy this card, if you wanna bring life to an older pc say like a Core 2 or athlon 64 x2 and want the warranty and such that comes with a new card then yes this should do the trick, as i said it will play GTA IV, and some less demanding titles, but it is not a gaming video card.
bad fan...
Pros: Cheap (I got this from another dealer on sale)., Improved my overall PC performance in a HP DC5750 Small form factor which had a very low watt (250 watt) power supply. Run cool for me. temps average 33 to 37 idle, 47 to 60 in games like GTA IV, actually does well for semi newer games. (I've only played mmos, GTA IV, C&C games) was very quiet while the fan was good
Cons: I bought this in January, The Fan has a bad bearing now and sounds like a swarm or bees or grinding on and off during the time its on. couldn't register it for the warranty because the Quality control didn't check to make sure the serials were on the card ,,OR THE BOX! so I'm out of luck there.
Overall Review: This is my first experience with this brand, it could be I just got the bad seed card out of the good ones, it happens so I won't judge Galaxy based on one experience, however. in peace of mind. when I replace this one ( if I do replace it) I'm probably going to go with an Asus fan less or the like. and just run an external fan on it. (or disconnect this fan and run a external fan on this card).
