EVGA 04G-P4-3778-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Dual Classified with EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card

  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Great performance as a card, I still run darn near everything on ultra without issue

Cons: I took the case of my computer off after about 12 months to clean the filters (I clean them more than annually, this just happened to be the time frame when I noticed the problem) and saw that the metallic trim piece (the one that says GTX 770 classified) had fallen off into the bottom of my PC.
No harm done, but if I hadn't been so lucky, and the piece of metal had shorted something on the board, or managed to spike into the fan of my PS, I would have been *upset*.
As it stands, I'm just disappointed that EVGA decided to use a glue that melts on a piece that is designed to get hot. For $460, 2 little screws wouldn't have been that big of a deal.

Other Thoughts: Haven't been able to get the LED controls from GeForce experience to do anything for the card, but I bought it for performance, not to have light shows in my case.

Antec Twelve Hundred V3 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Unbeatable Gaming Case

3 out of 5 eggs Quality dropped some, still a good case 12/20/2013

This review is from: Antec Twelve Hundred V3 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Unbeatable Gaming Case

Pros: The CPU cutout is a nice feature for installing CPU coolers. I like that spare length from the PSU cables can be "tucked into" the HDD bays on the bottom, it helps clean up the inside of my case some.

Cons: Compared to my old 1200 case, the panels just don't seem to fit as nicely. They pop out as soon as the screws are removed.

Other Thoughts: Also bought an Antec HCP 1000W PSU. Not sure if the con should be in this review or that one (I'm going to mention it in both)
Their "ultimate gaming case" has 7 fans, all using 3-pin fan connectors. When I bought my first 1200 in 2008, they used molex 4-pins.
The power supply, after talking about how it's ready for a "new level of flexibility" and can adapt to everything, had 2 molex cables and no fan connectors.
I know the fans are supposed to plug into the mobo, but how many of them have 7 plugs? It seems like Antec could have thought that one through a bit more. Instead, I had to drive across town to buy two dollars worth of connectors and hook the 200mm fan and one of the back fans to the PSU through a molex adaptor.

Pros: Very quiet, I like that it's completely modular

Cons: No real cons yet, see the other thoughts

Other Thoughts: Also bought an Antec 1200V3 case. Not sure if the con should be in this review or that one (I'm going to mention it in both)
