Pros: - No problems at first
- Looks good
- Heat Spreaders do their job
- No errors out of the box
Cons: - One module FAILED massively after 5 months of use in a very cold case (30C ambient maximum). The module came up with thousands of errors today on several different memory tests. It was causing BSOD's constantly. Other module works fine - contacted corsair with RMA.
- Reliability? I have never had a name brand ram module fail after use. Usually they are either DOA or work forever. Does this speak about corsairs quality?
Other Thoughts: I bought this ram when it was $100. It's about half price now, but at the time (5 months ago) it was a good deal. Overall I think it's decent ram even though it automatically clocks at DDR-1333 instead of 1600. The big beef here is the fact that one module is totally blitzed after 5 months. Very disappointed.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: - Good Price
- Good Performance
- Ran Cool (for a while...)
- Looks Good
Cons: - Constant ATI Driver issues. Bad Company 2 ran perfectly smooth (around 30 FPS) with an 8600 GT 256mb card on low settings. Once I installed this card with a fresh install of windows 7 64bit and the newest ATI drivers my FPS in Bad Company became a slideshow. 5-10 FPS average. After TONS of tweaking I managed to get the game around the 30fps range at low settings - just like the 8600GT did prior. What a joke. After installing 10 different versions of the ATI Driver I found the "Sweet Spot." Version 10.10 (almost 2 years old) ran the best and gave me around 60FPS at low settings. Still terrible considering how much better this card should be compared to the 8600GT.
- Problems with other games such as BRINK. New drivers allow brink to run around 10-12 fps. Amazing performance! Not really. lol
- Fan died after 2 months of using it maybe 6 hours a day at 100% fan speed. Terrible.
Other Thoughts: Maybe I just got a lemon...but either way...bad drivers are bad. ATI needs to step up their driver game big time.READ FULL REVIEW
