Pros: This is a really nice card. We are using it in an HP P-7 1380t with an Ivy Bridge 3450 CPU and 8G Ram. Although the PCIe 16x slot is a 2.0 (not 3.0), this card still provides very fast frame rates on Dirt 3, with no lagging or dropouts. The card temp is usually in the mid 30's on lesser demanding games and applications. Dirt 3 at max settings runs the temp up to a max of 62 degrees celsius, with the room temp around 74 degrees fahrenheit. With more case cooling than the max the 90mm cooling fans can provide (the card sits near the top close to the power supply), the temp would likely top out in the low 50s. That said, the CPU temp never exceeds high 40s. The CPU is near the bottom on the case and also near the rear 90mm case fan. We added a Nexus Waveair PCI slot 80mm fan to pull additional warm air from the top of the case. The Waveair is very quiet. The HIS GPU fan is also nearly inaudible until the card temp rises to the low 50s. Also like that this card requires only a single 6-pin connector.
Windows 7 automatically found the driver software...yes!
Also, Kudos to Newegg for speedy standard delivery!
Cons: None at this point. The card is larger than some which could be an issue for some installations, but it still fits our mid-tower with some room to spare.READ FULL REVIEW
