Pros: Still good single card support for high-end graphics applications utilizing directX 10 currently on the market -02/08- with the right system setup. High definition rendering support still makes for convincing detail, although with considerable framerate drop at higher settings.
Cons: Given the availability of superior GPUs for much cheaper prices (!!!) in comparison by both nVidia (8800 series) and ATI (3800 series), this card has completely lost its competitive edge in its $500 price range.
Other Thoughts: Many people, including myself, have experienced driver instability with the 8-pin and 6-pin power plugs connected. This is because ATI Overdrive (enabled in CCC) at default settings will overheat this card, causing it to lose stability and crash. Unless, presumably, a water-cooled block has been installed, this card becomes a major heat factory, which makes for a considerable loss of performance.READ FULL REVIEW
