This review is from: Startech RJ4511TOOL RJ45 RJ11 Crimp Tool with Cable Stripper
Pros: VERY sharp blades, strong crimper.
Cons: The guard makes it difficult to cut the wire in line. However, once the guard is removed, it makes all the difference. Don't know if your supposed to do that or not.... Just easier than trying to find your cutters and one less tool to carry.
Other Thoughts: Requires a little extra pressure at the end to fully seat the pins. Not sure if in design of if by the type of RJ45 connectors being utilized.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good strong connectors. All made to matching specs. No issues with random connectors requiring "assistance" to be unplugged from switches or computers.
Other Thoughts: I have always used this brand at work and on side jobs. You will not be disappointed. These are industry standard to my knowledge.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: StarTech.com 1000 ft Bulk Roll of Black Cat5e Stranded UTP Patch Cable
Pros: Not too flexible but not too stiff either. Good craftsmanship. Overall good quality. Very easy to make your pairs with this cable.
Cons: Like with any wire you purchase, it can be knicked very easily. This wire has that ability as well. When running along girders and beams use caution verses the grip it and rip it clause. Though the black shield tore, it did not fray the internal wiring *luckily*.
Other Thoughts: Good wire for about any project really. You can blow lots of money on most other cables, but this is really all you need with sufficient common sense.READ FULL REVIEW
