This review is from: Rosewill RX35-AT-SU BLK Aluminum 3.5" Black SATA USB 2.0 External Enclosure
Pros: Aluminum, on/off switch, easy installation, stand included.
Other Thoughts: The only thing that would make these better is if they came with some stick-on rubber feet so they don't slide around on my desk as I prefer to lay them on their side and stack them. Can't complain though, got some at the hardware store for under a buck.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill RKV-2U 2 Port Slim Palmtop USB KVM Switch w/ Audio & Mic/ Black Shell
Pros: Compact, works flawlessly, extremely easy setup.
Cons: Cables plug into all 4 sides making cable management difficult.
Other Thoughts: Both machines are running XP Pro SP3, I don't have Windows 7 so i can't speak to that, but all I did was hook it up and it works perfectly using the buttons on the switch and Scroll Lock+Scroll Lock. I didn't even use the supplied software.
I have never used a KVM switch before so I wasn't sure if the wireless KB and mouse would work but they do, also since they use the same dongle there is a free USB port on the switch which I am using to share a thumb drive between machines.
Pros: Nice looking and well built. With the built in monitor stand it takes up only slightly more space than the monitor itself. Well ventilated on motherboard side, my setup is fanless and silent.
Cons: Power supply has 20 pin main connector. Make sure you order an adapter if you plan on using it.
Other Thoughts: 65 watt power supply is more than adequate for my setup. Using a low power Atom board, 4GB RAM, 2.5" 320 GB laptop hard drive, LITE-ON DVD Burner, and 3.5" Rosewill card reader.READ FULL REVIEW
