This review is from: YAMAHA RX-A3010BL 9.2-Channel AV Receiver
Pros: Excellent receiver, the best video processor. Great pricing from Newegg.
Cons: Failed in 8 months. Left Front speaker drops off intermittently due to problem in relay. Called Yamaha, they said I have to take it for repair myself to a service center 60 miles away. The service center is only open M-F 9 to 5. It will cost me > 100 dollars to fix it and also waste my time. "Three year warranty" is a false advertisement, since it is really useless!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Very fast and flawless burning.
Writes at 22x on most 16x DVD-R discs (including the cheap ones that come at 20cents a piece).
Writes at 8x on cheap memorex DL discs (one coaster for 15 flawless burns; which is the best success I have had with these discs).
Comes with SATA cable.
Cons: - could be a little loud when burning at 22x (but I would rather have a RELIABLE burner than a QUIETER one that makes coasters!!
Other Thoughts: Excellent burner. I replaced it for the one that came with my dell (TSST corp H653F-- the worst burner I have ever seen).
Although my favorite brand is Optiarc, I bought this one from Newegg as it was on sale and with free shipping; so far, I believe that this one has perfomed better than optiarcs I have had in the past. Optiarc (sata model) went on sale a week later and I bought it as well for the second bay; haven't had a chance to compare these two yet. In any case, LG out performed the expectations I had!
Pros: Very Fast and so far flawless burning. Low price.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Would buy it again!READ FULL REVIEW
