This review is from: Team Color Turn 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive (Green) Model TG016GE902G
Pros: Low Price, solid feel
Cons: Bought 2 , one quit working after only moderate use. Computer says write locked in Win XP and Linux. Tried Virus Scan the drive and even re-setting Win KP registry with no avail. Cannot write to or format drive
Other Thoughts: Bought maybe 20 USB sticks over the years, this is the first one ever failedREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Low price. Definitely faster than regular SATA drives, although have not measured. Fits Ibm R60 Thinkpad laptop perfectly. Loads and runs Linux faster than any other computer I have.
Cons: none, will monitor if it lasts long term
Other Thoughts: Have difficulty loading windows. XP seems to format the drive and load, but on reboot, it does not proceed to XP, just cycles reloading the bios. Same effect on 2 different computers. Tried FAT32 and NTFS and Gparted but no avail. Since Linux is running flawlessly, there must be something specific in preparing the drive for XP which I'm missing. Guess others must have had similar problems, returning the drives and thus making this refurbished offer possible.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: cheap price, free shipping, added front USB port to older computer (Win ME), can read compact flash cards. black and silver bezels (unfortunately my old computer is beige)
Cons: Seems to open several drives in "My Computer"for the various card slots, but is not consistent with that. Does not show which drive containes a card so you click several times until you find the inserted card. USB drives sometimes are assigned drive "E" and sometimes "I", and sometimes not found at all. Stopping a drive usually locks up the computer, then you have to down power, because removing the card crashes the computer (BSOD).
All effects are the same on both free motherboard USB connections
SD cards are inserted upside down. Some are not recognized. Compact flash cards need to be inserted very straight and carefully. The slot does not provide a lot of guidance. Bend 2 pins the first time I tried.
