This review is from: Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard - Retail
+Pretty smooth and quiet keyboard
+Different illumination levels
+Different gaming modes
+Subdued button clicks (MUCH quieter than my old keyboard)
Cons: -The wrist rest is practically worthless. It is a hard plastic and not effective what-so-ever. It needs to be longer and bulkier and constructed of some padded vinyl or leather or some gel insert/Lycra covering. I think they had Hobbits in mind when they constructed it. If they put the same type of wrist rest on it that the MS Ergonomic 4000 has on it would be a major improvement. I am currently using my old wrist rest with it. I am in the market for looking for a new wrist that is better than the one I have to suit my needs.
Other Thoughts: *The keys are a bit smaller and are closer together than what I am use to. I should be able to adapt to them pretty quickly though.
*I wish the RCtrl button was wider.
*Someone had said something about the space bar not being backlit........I don't find that an issue at all. It is a space bar and easy to find without even looking for it. Everyone knows where it is.
*So far I have discovered that I like using the lowest setting of the illumination levels. It is plenty bright even on the lowest setting.
*My final note....would be REALLY cool if it had 4 different illumination colors: red, blue, green, or white. That would be so awesome!
This review is from: Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000
Pros: The palm rest is nice. Love the design. Very sleek looking.
Cons: Attention gamers!!! NO FULL N-KEY ROLLOVER or ANTI-GHOSTING CAPABILITIES!!!!!
This means you can't push more than like 2 keys simultaneously!
Other Thoughts: If it had Anti-Ghosting or N-Key Rollover this keyboard would be sick!!!READ FULL REVIEW
