IOGEAR Bluetooth 2.1 USB Micro Adapter with Low Power Consumption (GBU421W6)
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: less than 1 day

5 out of 5 eggs Very happy customer! 03/11/2011

This review is from: IOGEAR Bluetooth 2.1 USB Micro Adapter with Low Power Consumption (GBU421W6)

Pros: Works great with Mac OSX, and the Magic Trackpad. As other reviewers had stated. This was the fourth USB Bluetooth adapter I had tried, this was the only one that works properly with the Magic Trackpad. That thing seems to really gobble down the bandwidth, and a lesser adapter just can't cut it.

Cons: No cons at all.

ASUS USB-BT211 USB 2.0 Mini Bluetooth Dongle

1 out of 5 eggs Worthless in Mac OSX 03/11/2011

This review is from: ASUS USB-BT211 USB 2.0 Mini Bluetooth Dongle

Pros: Good price.

Cons: Didn't work at all in Mac OS X 10.6.6, Snow Leopard. The OS seems to detect it as a "Smart Card Reader", not a BlueTooth adapter. Asus has no OSX drivers.

FUJIFILM FINEPIX JV100 Black 12 MP 3X Optical Zoom Digital Camera

1 out of 5 eggs Great for your kids 01/14/2011

This review is from: FUJIFILM FINEPIX JV100 Black 12 MP 3X Optical Zoom Digital Camera

Pros: It takes decent pictures, and the video is crisp and clear.

Cons: Takes this thing like 5 seconds to actually take a picture after you press the button, IF it's not still writing the previous picture to the card. If you ARE still writing to the card, you get to wait even longer!
The first one I got had to be returned because the power button didn't work. The camera turned on when you put in the battery, and would not stay off, even if it fell asleep.
The replacement won't talk to my computer over USB, forcing me to open the battery door and remove the card every single time I want to get the pictures off this thing.
The battery door is EXTREMELY flimsy, I'm sure it would break off in no time at all under normal use if I were actually going to keep using this piece of junk.
The lense seems to have a smudge on it, that no amount of cleaning will remove. The pictures tend to be blurry, and i think it's due to that smudge. the lense on both cameras were very dirty when I got them.
The battery can be inserted backwards, it's not keyed.

Other Thoughts: I bought this because I had a Fuji years ago that was just an outstanding digital camera at the time. This camera was absolutely meant to be the bottom of the line entry level hunk of junk. I will never buy another Fuji digital camera after this piece of junk. They really shouldn't have even released this camera to the public. 5 seconds to take a picture? Geeze.
