Pros: This is an update to my previous review. I emailed Biostar regarding the "coming out of sleep mode" temperature issue and they responded promptly to solve this issue. Tech support sent me a new BIOS, A75AH821.BST and after running for several days with the updated BIOS, it appears the problem is fixed. So nice work Biostar, but I wish this BIOS and information had been available online so I did not spend days trying to troubleshoot this issue and reseating the CPU. Overall, now a satisfied customer, and this board is exactly what I needed at a great price.
Cons: None for the price paid. Satisfied with the price/spec mixREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Low price board with USB 3, SATA III support, 4 memory slots and a decent amount of upgrade slots.. Reasonably well written installation instructions. Nice layout for my older case.
Cons: Temperature reporting issues. I should have listened to the few other reviewers that complained about the wrong temperature being reported when coming out of sleep mode. The temp reports fine (22C) and the CPU fan is very quiet during normal operation. However, when coming out of Sleep mode, the CPU temp is reported at 79-80C and the fan runs full bore out to try to cool the CPU. I'm sure the CPU temp is not that high. The only way to solve this issue is to do a Restart...which negates the entire purpose of sleep mode. I've updated the BIOS, played around with the Smart Fan settings in BIOS, reseated the AMD A8 3850 CPU several times with no better results. I am not overclocking, just wanted a quiet system! Oh, and the back plate is pretty flimsy....it could have been a tad thicker metal.
