Pros: Inexpensive and a breeze to set up.
Cons: Impossible to find a replacement motherboard and still keep all of the features (4 HDD lights, backplane power, stock chassis wiring).
Other Thoughts: My H340 died on me 1 year and 10 days after purchase. Yep, ten days out of warranty. I really appreciated this machine, but Acer's notoriously terrible customer service (none, I get redirected to a third party when I call them, who gives me other dead-end numbers to call) has left me searching elsewhere.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Came bundled with an extra 1tb drive. Previous experience with WHS has left me knowing what to expect and what to tweak, so there were no major problems. Hotswap works great.
Fits on my shelves and is pretty quiet. Indicator light gives me a heads-up if something's wrong with the network.
WHS takes a bit of getting used to since it simplifies everything we're used to doing by hand. The drive pooling weirded me out at first, but I've moved past that. Think of it as selective RAID-5, only mirroring what you want to be mirrored. Just remember that RAID isn't backup, so play it safe. I back up the most important files to a 1tb external.
Cons: McAfee preinstalled. That was the first thing to go. One-touch backup seems to need some tweaking to get it to work correctly. Haven't had time to play around with that part yet.
Headless unit, which I can see as being a problem if the OS becomes corrupt.
Other Thoughts: To the reviewer complaining about the Acer branded page, simply change the page order in IIS.
Price dropped $50 since I bought it, but it was a combo deal as well so I don't feel too bad about it.
