ASUS SABERTOOTH X99 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

3 out of 5 eggs Awesome mb for about 4 months, then the problem began 05/22/2016

This review is from: ASUS SABERTOOTH X99 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Solid, clean design and has all of the goodies that I wanted. Fit perfectly in my 780T. Took some time to arrange everything how I wanted it, but well worth the time. I really like the heavy, military look.

Cons: After about 4-5 months, I started getting random usb disconnects... DaDoo, DaDonk. Sometimes in rapid succession, other times not... I reiterate "Random". Would then have an "unknown device" in device mgr under USB Controllers at location PORT_#0007 HUB_#0001. Didn't seem to affect my game or project at hand, but something definitely going wrong. Now, I lost 3 usb 3.0 ports(blue) on the back panel, but not the port that supports bios flashback.

Other Thoughts: I realize there is a 5yr warranty on this mobo, but I did put in a lot of time and thought to make this build exactly what I wanted. I have had much success with Asus products and their support team in the past and hope this can be resolved before something seriously devastating happens. I will update bios to the latest version (3101) and update my review in the near future. This mobo would have definitely gotten 5 eggs if not for this issue.

Rexus Rexflo250mm Blue 250mm Blue LED Silent LED FAN

3 out of 5 eggs Update to my previous feedback 11/02/2012

This review is from: Rexus Rexflo250mm Blue 250mm Blue LED Silent LED FAN

Pros: Ok, the fan still works and it does move some air... but

Cons: for no obvious reason, the fan just does not always start when I hit the power button. I have to pop the side cover and (literally) give it a little spin to get it moving. This isn't a big deal to do, but I shouldn't have to. It is supposed to do this all by itself, right ? It's just a pain to have to "jump start" the fan at random intervals. I would say 7 out of 10 starts it needs a helping hand.

Other Thoughts: I purchased it in April 2012 and it is now Nov 2012 and I'm a bit disappointed with the reliability of this $25 fan. I don't smoke and I can't see any reason it would behave like this. Hey Rexus, can you help me out ?

Rosewill RCR-IC001 - 3.5

2 out of 5 eggs No SD, but usb works. Pretty blue light, too. 06/07/2012

This review is from: Rosewill RCR-IC001 - 3.5" Internal 40-in-1 Card Reader with USB 2.0 Port & Extra Silver Face Plate

Pros: Pretty blue light that matches the lighting in my case. Usb works. Tweaked the slot in my case and it fits in perfectly.

Cons: SD card doesn't do anything and operating system is recognizing an 'unknown device". Tried Microsoft Fix It support, but to no avail. Not happy at all. Took my computer apart to make this reader fit and operate properly, took my time and did it correctly, reassembled and I get let down. C'mon Rosewill, I had more faith in your products.

Other Thoughts: Two stars because the usb worked and the light matches my scheme.
