This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply
Pros: This is the second CX430 I've bought, and they seem to have fixed the whining issue starting with V2. Its worth every penny and more. Currently powering a G550+8 gb ram+TBD gfx card. Of course, you should be able to even run a more mainstream system, and I'll probably be picking up another one on sale for my next build. Its a beautiful PSU, powder coated, all wires are techflexed, and its easy to work with.
Cons: None that I've seen with the newer versions of this PSU..
Other Thoughts: If you're just building a basic system, 1 CPU, 1 GPU, 1 SSD, 1 GFX card, 1 HDD, and maybe a PCI-E expansion card, then you have no reason not to get this...READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Its cheaper than a WDTV, plays Blu Ray ISOs and highly compressed media much better than a WDTV/roku2.
Cons: Stock firmware is an eyesore, hacked firmware is ok, but in the ends its all really laggy. Web interface is slow, and so is FTP. The data scrapper in this is weak compared to the WDTV, you basically can only use themoviedb, and there is no scrapper for TV shows or music.
Other Thoughts: This is a great player if all you're looking for is no-frills playback of blu ray ISOs, highly compressed MKVs, and etc. However, if you're looking for any other functionality, such as anything related with meta data, its useless. The interface is slow, but it gets the job done. I had gotten it for $50 after rebate, and for the price it was nice. However, I decided to step it up a notch and just get an HTPC. I really like the WDTV, but if you're on a budget this thing is hard to beat. If you're budget is a bit lax, then get the WDTV, and if you can build an HTPC, then there is really nothing better....READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: installed xp 64 bit on Q6600, ASUS p5q, 4 gb OCZ reaper memory. everything works fine. haven't had a single coaster. perferct for backups for that certain system. verbatim (singapore) DVD+R DL and Sony DVD+R (single layer) and Philips CD-R. never had a coaster yet out of about 100 discs.
Cons: OEM? not really a con, but I mean, if you don't need software and know what you're doing, this is a great drive.
Other Thoughts: get this.READ FULL REVIEW
