Pros: Worked on an older Asus laptop I was repairing for a friend. Increased memory from 4 Gig to 8 Gig and saw a big improvement in response and startup.
Other Thoughts: The older laptops made it easy to upgrade memory and HD as well as other components. Unfortunately today you'd be hard pressed to find a laptop in the 200 to 400 dollar range that would even let you change the batteries so for the older then 3 year laptop this memory can be easily installed.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Blue LED
Pros: This heat-sink/fan works perfectly, my AMD FX-8330 125W CPU is running much cooler then before. With the standard fan the heat escalated to 150 F, with this fan the temp never pass 110 F while gaming. Great improvement.
Cons: On the negative side is the installation of this Fan assembly. It is always a royal pain to remove a motherboard to install a fan as it could lead to some damage if your not careful. The screws used are hex and while they did provide a wrench it was not long enough to secure the fan while going around the fan in an angle. Fortunately I do have a longer hex wrenches. Just be patient and make sure your ground yourself.
Other Thoughts: While the install is not for everyone it is not beyond the reach of normal tinkerers. I new the problems going in but could not find any other fan/heat sync that would address the heat issue I had to deal with without going the liquid cool way, another install/upgrade that would require time, patience and more rigging. In the end this fan is working better then I hoped for.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Asus Transformer Book T100 10.1" 2-in-1 Tablet with Dock, Quad Core Intel Atom Bay Trail Z3775F 1.46Ghz (2.39Ghz Burst), 2GB Memory, 32GB Storage, Windows 8.1, Certified Refurbished
Pros: Good performance with Microsoft Office products, so long as you don’t have a monster Excel file, very sharp screen, keyboard is good and has a USB 3 port on it, streaming video perfectly.
Cons: The Battery does not last long when in sleep mode and charging was not working at all, then I tested the Asus charging adapter and found it was not working at all (plugged into power on the wall and got 0 (zero) voltage from it. Went out and purchased an adapter with the correct power requirement (5V 2.4 amps) to get it to charge) Still the windows sleep mode takes too much power from the battery, rather then use sleep mode I just turn off the little tablet/pc.
Other Thoughts: In-spite of the power issues this little unit does a very good job both as a tablet and a little PC. I was able to upgrade it to Windows 10 with little issues (you will have to download the new driver for the mouse pad and upgrade your BIOS) everything is running perfectly in Windows 10 and streaming is still working well.READ FULL REVIEW
