So far so good
Pros: Backup security, easy to use, not bad to set up
Cons: Would have been nice to include some minimal software to do backups, set-up could be more clearly explained.
Overall Review: Does Newegg own a fleet of magic carpets? Ordered this midnight Sunday, was on my doorstep Tuesday afternoon. I have never seen a company deliver like Newegg. Incredible. They get 6 stars. Cavalry gets 4 stars with a bullet. Only been running a couple days, so far so good. Smaller than I pictured. Fan is audible, relatively low white noise, noticeable but not overpowering. Put it under teh desk or behind something. Leave it off when not in use & it's silent! It has been running a total of about 4 hours over 2 nights. That includes setting it up on a home network w/D-Link wired router - took a little fumbling because installation instructions are minimal at best. Instructions & illustrations do not match Windows desktop & menus exactly, but can be figured out. Would have been nice to come with a little software for back-ups, but in 2 nights by drag & drop in Windows Explorer I have backed up documents from 4 hard drives on 2 computers, mostly while I was elsewhere.
DOn't do it!
Pros: none
Cons: Cartridge leaks, arrived with toner all over the inside of the sealed bag it was packed in
Overall Review: The wait on hold to get an RMA isn't worth the price savings. Buy a new one.
Little loud but otherwise so far so good
Pros: Works so far, upgrade from previous 300W (480 max). Cables are very nicely wrapped, no loose wires hanging out.
Cons: Previous reviewwer +1 on noise, fans are a bit loud, not enough to be a killer but not as quiet as a few other PSU's I have had. For a home office for occasional use it will be OK, but if you are gaming & need quiet to hear what's sneaking up on you, or if you will be sitting nexxt to it all day long, it might be annoying.
Overall Review: OK I bought a $20 PSU, I am not expecting it to be a $75 unit, so it meets my expectations, so 5 eggs. If you are vvery picky about getting the best of all worlds, don't rate a cheap PSU low, pay for a better PSU!
OK as stand-alone, but not universal?
Pros: SDHC card works fine in camera, WinXP recognizes it fine through teh included reader.
Cons: Card reader/USB adapter does not seem to work with other SDHC cards, including a supposedly identical PNY 4GB FAT32 card purchased a couple weeks earlier.
Overall Review: As a unit (A-data card plus A-data reader) seems to work OK, but don't buy this thinking you can use it as a card reader for SDHC in gerneal. It looks like I will still have to spring for another reader - OK, <$20, but still a pain since I bought this one specifically for the reader!
Goods AND service!
Pros: Plenty of power Plenty of connections Cool blue lights
Cons: More connections than I need, was a tight fit in small chassis (not Rosewill fault, just lots of cables & plugs to keep away from fans etc.)
Overall Review: Bought another design (similar unit) but did not fit cut-out in case. Rosewill was exemplary at helping me get one that fit. Excellent service!
