This review is from: UNITEK 2.5" 3.5" SSD HDD SATA IDE Dual Bay USB 3.0 Docking Clone Station
Pros: Great tool for IT professionals. Sector by sector (thorough) cloning so its slower than cloning software, however it works perfectly every time. OSX and Windows compatible.
Cons: I own two. No problems at all.
Other Thoughts: Cloning requires identically sized drives. To clone, turn off, unplug the USB cable from the back, put the source drive in bay A (rear), destination in B (front), turn on, hold the red button until the front lights up (about 3 sec.), then tap the red button one more time to begin cloning. Cloning time: Fully loaded 3.5" drives: 1TB 3-4 hours, 500GB 1.5-2 hours.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: My employer purchased 4 of these. No problems. Nice fast Core i7 CPU
Cons: Limited Intel graphics. I need an AMD GPU.
Other Thoughts: Ships with Win7 Pro x64 pre-installed. Comes with DVDs to wipe and load Win8 Pro x64 - a bit zippier in comparison to Win7. I prefer the iobit StartMenu8 add-on to boot to desktop.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SanDisk Extreme 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDX-120G-G25
Pros: I've been running two in RAID-0 for about 4 months. No problems
Cons: I do not get 2x speed as advertised, however its is close. I'm testing with the AS SSD benchmark tool.
Other Thoughts: Remember to update your chipset and system drivers to the latest versions. Base Win8 drivers gave me 1/2 speed. I had to manually update the Storage Controller AMD drivers - the latest AMD RAID installer does not always update the Storage Controller.
Also check for Sandisk firmware updates, there hasn't been one for this model in a long time. (latest firm ver R211, released 10/2012)
