This review is from: Logitech G400s 910-003589 8 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical 4000 dpi Gaming Mouse
Pros: Fantastic mouse. All that really needs to be said.
Great sensor, tracks everywhere, shell is a classic design that has held up to the test of time. Buttons hold up to wear and tear, build quality is good (much better than the original g400 and anything razer puts out for mice) but not quite as rock solid as the mythical beast.. the one, the only, the mx518
Cons: Slightly slippery shell when brand new out of the box. Give it a week or two to break in (depending on how heavy the use is..all day gamers will notice in a couple days that the slipperiness is gone) and you'll be glad you bought it.
Other Thoughts: A new legend is made. The g400s is the great-great-great grandmouse of the mx518, and it's a chip off the old block in every sense of the phrase.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Antec 761345-75080-6 80mm 3-Speed Case Cooling Fan
Pros: Can really move some air on high, low and medium not very noisy, easy to install and actually came with their own screws
Cons: Requires the 4 pin power connected to run.
Low and Medium are slightly lackluster, but definitely quieter, options. If you have a medium-to-high end GPU and Processor that can pump out some heat you will need to run on high most of the time. Not worth deducting an egg over my selection of using an older, smaller case with 80mm fans instead of getting a newer one with larger mounting brackets for larger fans to move more air.
Other Thoughts: Deducted an egg because it requires the 4-pin power connected to the PSU to run, using just the 3 pin won't fire the fans up on any setting, contrary to advertising for this item. All my former case fans (two older 80mm Antec's and a random 80mm from another build) ran using just the 3 pin connector to the motherboard.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Logitech G440 (943-000049) Hard Gaming Mouse Pad
Pros: - Large size
-really sticky underside, make sure to keep it clean
- a hard plastic covered, stiff core pad that has some texture
- works fine with mice ranging from razer deathadders 3.5g and 2013 to g400/g400s, mx518, g502, g500s, a cheap and old WMO 1.1..
I don't own a mouse that will NOT track on this pad.
Cons: - hand sweating will lead to sticking to surface
- won't take me out for dinner and a movie
Other Thoughts: Scott F. reviewed that the mouse mat doesn't work well with Optical mice. Unfortunately, both mice he tested the pad with were optical mice. The "lag" he was experiencing using his g602 is because it is wireless, not because of the mouse pad.
To summarize, This pad works with both optical and laser sensors just fine. Great pad for the money, works fantastic, good build quality, great company support if it does go bad.. it definitely isn't over-designed and uber-promoted like some other big-name companies tend to do.
