Dynamics of a Winner Kung Fu Chinese 1 & 2 Fan Forms Diandra Kirk DVD taichi fighting opening hold #RS-0522
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: - fan opening and closing
- strikes(some)
- blocks(some)
- difficult stretches
- stances(including a few less popular ones)
- two difficult movements
- seems to be a happy person(who wants to watch a stiff?)

Cons: - more flashy, less martial

Other Thoughts: The young girl who is on the video is apparently known on the performance circuits she does. Her no-weapon work is very obvious that it took years of practice. Her fan work is fun to look at.

Here's the thing, though. I've haven't heard of another video on fans that had ANY sort of an explanation of basic movements. This video seems to be either toward getting someone to practice martial arts who wants to, or toward getting someone in martial arts to have fun with the fan.

In a logical sense, the fan open is for concealment and the fan closed is for attacks and defense. Of course, flashy can be very fun to look at.

I bought mine direct, as I didn't know it was available on this website, so I can't comment on the seller.

Evoluent VM4L Silver/Black 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Vertical Mouse Left Handed

4 out of 5 eggs Still great, yet wondering 07/20/2012

This review is from: Evoluent VM4L Silver/Black 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Vertical Mouse Left Handed

Pros: Great Software incl/x64 software
Good Mouse

Cons: Lousy Wire
Great mousepads take up quite a bit of space

Other Thoughts: I am reviewing this mouse again after owning it for some time. The X TRAC PADS RIPPER mouse pad I bought on Newegg gave me a lot better performance. The mouse still feels like I'm going to break it, though most electronics these days do. With a 3DConnexion device to the right, it is quite nice, though I imagine a Contour ShuttleXPress to the right of this mouse would feel just as good or better. My issue, that you might also contemplate... is space. I'm probably taking near 2 feet with this giant mouse pad(that really makes this mouse shine) and a 3Dconnexion device spaced to right. I can only wonder the space of the keyboard spaced to the right of the mouse pad. I'm seriously leaning towards an industrial trackpad over this mouse(CH DT225 or CST LaserTrac) because the space is set.

Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2013 for PC
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs DXF export works 06/20/2012

This review is from: Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2013 for PC

Pros: More responsive than AutoCAD
Exports working files to 3D programs like Houdini
It's extremely fast at building a 2D CAD design

Cons: Not 3D
a grand for 2D
Autodesk always outdates their format every 2 years... that is, the default Autodesk format won't work with the older version

Other Thoughts: It's the best program for building things in 2D. The more keyed shortcuts you know, the faster the program works. The dxf export works in other 3D apps, including Houdini 12, giving you more of an actual choice in how you model. With this program you can neatly organize several items, export them in one dxf or several dxf files. I haven't checked the dxf files with Zam 3D from eRain that brings dxf to Microsoft Expression(Silverlight).
