This review is from: Sangean AM / FM-RBDS / iPod Dock Wooden Table-Top Receiver WR-5
Pros: Great sound for the money, nice warm bass and crisp tones from radio, iPod, and Aux. The sound controls, including the the 3D make a difference and let you adjus to your taste or the particular music. The sound really fills the room and it sounds great whether you are facing the radio or not.
The display is easy to read but not too bright. The radio text feature is cool (but you can turn it off too).
5th gen iPod Nano fits well on dock. Can be controlled on iPod, on the radio or with remote.
Source selection lets you leave Aux input plugged in (older Sangean radios didn't do this).
Wood cabinet looks nice.
Full instruction booklet and oversize poster of menu tree.
Cons: The dials to control the volume and tuning/iPod scroll are touchy and will jump around if you try to turn them too quickly or with two fingers at the same time. The controls on top and the iPod dock are made of a dull plastic that cheapens the look a bit.
The bass is not as warm as some of the single speaker models for Sangean (WR-2) and Tivoli.
Other Thoughts: In this $100 range you have so many choices for ipod docks and radios, but the WR-5 is one of the few that gives you AM/FM radio, and Aux input and Hi-Fi table top sound. If it weren't for my wife's iPod I probably would wave opted for the WR-2. I have a Cowon mp3 player (from New Egg too) and I use the Aux input and it sounds great. I would recommend this if you need a nice radio as much as you need and iPod dock. The touchy dials are all that prevent this from getting 5 stars.
For the price it is hard to beat!
This review is from: BIOSTAR TFORCE 550 AM2 NVIDIA nForce 550 MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Good layout, chipset, BIOS. Contruction seems solid. Installed with no problems.
Cons: TWO IDE connectors would be nice, but it is time to move on. How about some crazy colors?
Other Thoughts: Nice board for building a solid mid-range system. It hasn't given me any guff, which is more than I can say for the last three motherboards I've purchasedREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: NZXT GUARDIAN GRN Green SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 400W Power Supply
Pros: Decent contruction, outlandish design, low cost.
Cons: Plastic clips for drives and cards questionable. My video card didn't clip in very well.
Other Thoughts: I bought this case the same week I bought a mini van. My two and 6 year olds think it's cool. It's a good option if you want a case that is decent but not boring.READ FULL REVIEW
