LITE-ON USB 2.0 External DVD Drive Model eTDU108-32

4 out of 5 eggs Good external dvd drive 12/18/2014

This review is from: LITE-ON USB 2.0 External DVD Drive Model eTDU108-32

Pros: Decent external dvd drive size, not heavy, works with most of my dvd disks. Great for desktop builds that do not have internal drives like mine, since I built a mini-itx gaming rig.

Cons: The cover that opens does not seem to have good quality, but this is an inexpensive drive. The USB cable holder on the bottom of the drive is angled 90 degrees, which is a bit rough to place the cable in, will be a tight fit as well.

Other Thoughts: Overall, decent drive for the price. There was a newegg discount when I purchased this, which is part of the reason for getting this one.

5 out of 5 eggs Fan cable works as it should! 12/01/2014

This review is from: StarTech FAN4EXT12 12" 4 Pin Fan Power Extension Cable - M/F M-F

Pros: Great for extending fan cable connections, where connection from front fan to motherboard is longer than expected.

Cons: non-braided

Other Thoughts: Wish this cable was braided to match what it was being connected to.

ICY DOCK MB082SP Full Metal Dual 2.5

Pros: Upgraded my home rig to an SSD finally, but my CoolerMaster case does not have appropriate bays for 2.5" drives. Got this Icy Dock bracket, loaded up on my SSD and installed into 3.5" bay, fits perfectly.

Cons: No cons really, the bracket itself feels very durable, not sure about the springs though, but I will not be removing or adding drives anytime soon

Other Thoughts: Get this bracket if you need to install smaller drives into larger bays
