Pros: Superb, accurate color. Incredible color control. Obvious quality in product. Near-perfect out of the box. Well documented color setup functions in thick manual. Luminance nearly even across entire surface. Works, as advertised. Price: you get more than what you pay for. Newegg has the best deal for this screen anywhere. Matte plastic so scratches don't show up as easy as some other brands. Great finish on screen surface. Optional wall mount easy install via VESA hole mounts. Cable/wiring very ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing. The list keeps getting longer.
Cons: Deeper base than expecting, but still fit on my desk. Gamut not as wide as it's bigger and more expensive brother(not really a con if you only need sRGB like 80% of users out there). Price could be a con for some cheapskates. Not such great Windows 7 64bit support with provided software on CD-ROM(a non-issue for me).
Other Thoughts: Need I say more. Un-real. This monitor is perfect for entry-level/mid-level enthusiast/work-at-home DCC individual. If you shoot/edit video, composite and/or create 3D imagery, this is a perfect monitor to get started with. Won't break your wallet while giving you incredible out-of-the-box performance.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Best bang-for-buck in size, hands down. If you're looking for a monitor under 30 inches that does 1920x1200 and the dot pitch won't bug you, it's perfect. Light for it's size--my old 24 inch was heavier, and unlike some previous reviewers, the base is actually pleasantly small for the screen size. The footprint was smaller than my previous monitor. FPS games played great on this big boy.
Cons: That it wasn't priced cheaper. Color for pro-work is not up to snuff.
Other Thoughts: I do a lot of DCC work, and my LCD of 6 years had finally started to go. I thought I'd cheap my way out of getting a new monitor. I bought this monitor thinking I was making an upgrade in size. While the size blew me away, the color quality did not.
I game occasionally, and for gaming, this monitor works great. Colors in-game look fine.
However, if you need sRGB to look like sRGB, you'll have a tough time getting your colors in the ballpark. Neutral grey appears slightly brown, and the only way to get color to behave was to turn on X-Contrast. However that ruins any brightness/contrast adjustments you make, and my eyes became sore after staring at a very bright screen for a long time. Because of this I reduced the rating by 1 egg--I don't think it deserves any less than 4 eggs as it's got excellent value.
Bottom line: if you want a big screen for gaming/browsing but don't want to spend a huge amount, this monitor will work for you.
