This review is from: Rosewill RHKN-12001 15-Piece Stainless Steel Knife Cutlery Block Set
Pros: It's a lot of bang for the buck. This is my first real set of knives. I had previously worked through callouses and blisters using a set of thrifted, blunted straight edge blades. I'm hoping to have these blades for at least a few years. They are honed to a decently fine edge: I chopped onion with virtually no tears.
Cons: As always, a knife is only as good as its handle. I found myself gripping a lot of the blades a little awkwardly after a while. At 5'10", they're not ergonomically optimal for me. But I didn't expect them to be whence buying online, so caveat emptor.
Other Thoughts: Remember, with any straight edge blade, the best way to keep it sharp is hone it on the steel about 5-10 times every time you use it, either before or afterward. Even then, you have to bring it to a professional sharpener once a year. And serrated blades can't be sharpened.READ FULL REVIEW
