2 out of 5 eggs Useless by itself 05/12/2016

This review is from: Powerbuilt® 1 5/8" Rear Disc Brake Piston Tool - 940397

Pros: It's metal?

Cons: This is only an attachment for other half of the tool, which is the handle that's required to use it. You can't just put this on a socket wrench (although it will fit), because the piston must be forcibly compressed with significant force WHILE being turned; this requires a threaded handle and plate that pries against the other side of the caliper to exert force on the piston while you turn it.

Other Thoughts: I have one of these and it is utterly useless as it stands. I had to go to Autozone and borrow their kit, which includes the tool itself.

Pros: Cost, size, appearance, repeater mode

Cons: It inexplicably and frequently stalls.

Other Thoughts: Initially seemed to work fine. But now the unit stalls every half hour or so. I can't even access its administrative page through a wired connection, so it's the router and not my cable provider.

LaCie Rikiki 500GB USB 2.0 2.5

1 out of 5 eggs Flimsy, unreliable garbage 02/01/2013

This review is from: LaCie Rikiki 500GB USB 2.0 2.5" Portable Hard Drive 301909

Pros: Small size, bus-powered

Cons: Fails often, connector quickly degrades

Other Thoughts: I've had three of these drives. All eventually started failing to mount and sounding the "beep of doom." The first one LaCie replaced without hassle, but then they started balking. They'll blame anything else, like insufficient bus power. That's a crock; I've tried powered hubs and direct connections. The USB connection is a failure that will become loose over time and force you to spread the end of your USB plug to get it to fit securely. Also, strangely, the power light is on the BACK of the drive (where the USB connector is).
