EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 01G-P3-N981-TR 1GB 256-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner

Pros: -Great performance
-Lots of bang for your buck

Have two of these running in SLI and they make every other card I've ever owned look like a joke. Excellent cards and I would gladly buy again.

Cons: -Lots of heat
-Big cards

Like all of the other 9800's and above, these cards are big, and with two of them running in SLI the area between them gets plenty hot. Not much of an issue with all of my case fans on, but something to consider.

Other Thoughts: I didn't do my homework and so didn't realise that running both cards in SLI would keep me from using my other two monitors. Not the fault of the card or Nvidia, but keep in mind that in order to use more than one screen, you'll have to disable SLI.

ASUS VW222U Black 22
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: An enormous upgrade from my Acer 1917lw 19" widescreen... i use them mostly for gaming and movies, and they handle both beautifully. not a single dead or stuck pixel to be found on either of the two that i ordered.

Cons: Bright... you don't want to default this to 100 brightness. i have mine set at about 50% for both brightness and contrast... the pre-sets are mostly useless, you'll want to adjust it all yourself. also, the stand feels rather flimsy but they havn't fallen over yet.

5 out of 5 eggs Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro 12/01/2008

This review is from: ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2, CPU Cooler - Intel & AMD, Multi-Directional Mount, 92mm PWM Fan

Pros: keeps my intel wolfdale nice and cool, even under high load.

Cons: massive, and heavy... if you threw this at someone, they would be going to the hospital. installation was tricky for me, i felt like i was going to snap my mobo in two, but once it was on it worked like a dream
