GOgroove FlexSMART X3 Bluetooth FM Transmitter Car Kit with Hands-free Calling, Audio Playback and USB Charging - Works with Apple, Samsung, HTC and More Smartphones, Tablets & MP3 Players

  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Flexible neck, removable face, power button on device

Cons: This unit does not live up to the x2. I had an x2 but it was stolen from my vehicle. I went to replace the item and thought the x3 would be an even better replacement.... wrong. Static was horrible on almost any station I tried. I would use the autofind feature, and it would find a clear station, then after about 10 seconds it would start sounding unacceptably staticy again.....The only way i was able to get this item to work well was to disconnect the antenna in the vehicle, so no radio stations had to compete with the device. The x2 worked excellent with only minimal static at worst. Another annoying feature is that the bluetooth connection tries to jack the signal all the time. So if you tried to take a call using another bluetooth device or even the handset itself, the phone call will be routed to the x3 automatically within a matter of seconds. To use my bluetooth headset to take calls i have to shut the x3 off first, which is less than optimal. The x2 handles jumping between bluetooth devices flawlessly. If you were thinking about getting the x3, please dont. The x2 is the best bluetooth fm transmitter I have ever used, and can not recommend the x3. X2 ftw.
