This review is from: Amped Wireless APA20 High Power 700mW Dual Band AC Wi-Fi Access Point
Cons: Out of the four purchased in January of this year only one has performed without failure and remains in service.
Within anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks the other three would knock previously associated clients off and not allow any new associations or even a login via hard wire to the Web interface. The only solution Amped support could offer was to factory reset and change some settings. Even after so doing the three units would again exhibit the same defect within the same time frame.
To say this was frustrating to me and my client would be a great understatement!
Other Thoughts: After facing the likely prospect of going through a swap for new units directly from the manufacturer I instead opted to contact Newegg directly and relate my trials with these units to them. I can't thank Newegg enough for stepping up to the plate and offering store credit for these units though strictly speaking they were not obligated to do so.
I have never been so thankful that I had kept all of the original documentation and packaging!!!
This review is from: Rosewill RX35MV-SU BLK 3.5" SATA to USB 2.0 External Enclosure (Black Aluminum)
Cons: The power connector broke off from the plastic board on the backplate upon first attempted use. I boxed all 3 units back up and returned to Newegg for refund. Don't waste your time.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This is a great printer and at the current price of $132.99 ,a great deal. Also got incredible service from Lexmark on 2 defective units.See the cons below.
Cons: I have spec'ed earlier versions of this printer many times for family and professional clients. However, after a week of freezes on 2 Xp Boxes that, yes, had this printer installed 1 week ago, a client called Lexmark wondering if there might be a problem with the drivers. The rep he spoke with said they had been having problems with this printer causing freezes and over-nighted two new ones to him via DHL.And yes, using the exisiting driver installation and merely swapping the printers out fixed the freezes!!!
Other Thoughts: The only thing I can think of that could have physically been problematic with the USB port was if something (voltage perhaps??) was leaking on the port and traveling back to the host computer.New territory for me and the client!! I will indeed inform Newegg about this!READ FULL REVIEW
