Rosewill RHYM-13001 7 Glass Cups Digital Yogurt Maker
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

1 out of 5 eggs Ruined several batches 07/21/2014

This review is from: Rosewill RHYM-13001 7 Glass Cups Digital Yogurt Maker

Pros: Glass jars are nice.

Cons: The heating element seems to have quit after about 5 successful batches. 3 batches have failed. Once the timer never ran, despite having started it, and the other two times the heating element stopped. The first time the heating element didn't work, I left it unplugged for a few mins, plugged it back in and it was fine. Ran 2 batches after that and then it seems to have completely died on the 3rd.

Other Thoughts: I knew it would be cheap and probably not work. Oh well, you get what you pay for.

2 out of 5 eggs slow write speeds 06/19/2014

This review is from: StarTech 4 Port PCI SATA RAID Controller Adapter Card

Pros: Ease of use. Install and setup are easy.

Cons: Extremely slow writes using raid 10, sub par read speed

Other Thoughts: This should have much faster writes than 30-40 megs per second. The drives I was using all run at 130-150 megs and while the read was maxing out around 130 the write peaked at about 39 megs.

ASUS RT-N16 Wireless Router 802.11b/g/n up to 300Mbps DD-WRT Open Source support with USB Storage, Printer And Media Server
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

1 out of 5 eggs Avoid this if you want a router to work longer than 1-2 years 03/24/2014

This review is from: ASUS RT-N16 Wireless Router 802.11b/g/n up to 300Mbps DD-WRT Open Source support with USB Storage, Printer And Media Server

Pros: It works well.. at first. Accepts tomato firmware. Average strength radio.

Cons: I've sold around 100 of these over the last year or so and about 15 have gone bad due to cheap caps. It's always the same thing, always the same cap. They use cheap 2000 hour caps on these. Why is a mystery, since they use higher quality ones on their motherboards. I'm guessing they just needed a place to use the cheap low quality capacitors.
