This review is from: Creative Bluetooth Wireless Headphones with Invisible Mic - WP-350
Pros: Works well with good volume. Paired quickly with two tablets and an old phone. I use them watching netflix while exercising. Sound quality is very good for price.
Overall I'm very happy with them.
Cons: The price went down $7 after I bought them. No instructions with the refurb packaging. They could be a little more comfortable.
Other Thoughts: They are comfortable for an hour, but after that they put a little too much pressure on my ears. Maybe they will loosen up with time.
I made one phone call with them just to be sure the mic worked, but that was not my purpose purchasing them.
Pros: Good processor and graphic specs. Good screen resolution specs.
Cons: Maybe I got a bad one, but screen brightness at full was still hard to read in reasonable room lighting.
Wifi would not connect or stay connected and also caused two different routers to drop off and switch channels. I tried changing log in methods, fixing wifi channels so they wouldn't change, removing all login passwords and a different router and it still would connect for a moment and then the router would reset.
I have 3 other tablets, a laptop and smartphone that connect to the same routers with no issues.
I'm returning the unit for credit as even if the wifi worked the screen brightness was unacceptable.
Other Thoughts: I expected an inexpensive plastic bodied tablet and was not surprised, but with the other good reviews I was expecting decent wifi and screen performance.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Archos - 70 Internet Tablet - 8GB Running Google ANDROID + Wi-Fi (501582)
Pros: Nice Display, Responsive touch screen, Good battery life. Okay speakers for the size of the unit.
Cons: It took a little reading online and tinkering to get everything to work. Apslib (archos online apps) seems to be offline almost always. Every now and then the unit starts and the wifi says "error". A restart has always fixed it.
Other Thoughts: Received the unit with android 2.1 and upgraded to 2.2 after 1 day. The upgrade went smoothly. The battery life is good, but it seems that 2.1 was better on batteries then 2.2.
It would be nice if the unit would charge from the USB cable or the AC adapter. It only charges from the adapter.
I went online to find out how to install Google Marketplace. Download a file, run it, install app, restart go to the Market place. If all the apps don't all show up clear the app cache restart and it's all there.
My previous experience is with an Ipod touch and although the Archos took an hour or two of figuring out it is a very capable product. It does exactly what I purchased it for at a good price.
Hopefully Archos will improve the product with firmware updates as needed.
