This review is from: MSI R9 270 GAMING 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
Pros: - Top notch build quality
- Theme agnostic black paint job (the red bits face down and are not visible)
- Fan is quiet under 1200 RPMs and is easily controlled via SpeedFan
Cons: - The heatsink is about 2 cm wider than the PCB, which could be a problem for those with small cases or side fans
Other Thoughts: Use this in a 24/7 litecoin miner and get about 450 m/hash per day at the cost of 150 wattsREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Pros: - Impeccable build quality
- Great performance
- 6 year warranty
- Long term cost of ownership
- Only uses 0.19 A @ 12V (You could put 5 of these on a single motherboard fan header, should you ever find a bag of money and start smoking crack)
- Color (for me)
- Extensive and nicely wrapped wiring
Cons: - Upfront cost of ownership
- Color (for most)
Other Thoughts: This kept my 3570K @ 1.4V well under 80. Sadly, I am moving to water cooling for the sake of my VGA cards, so this is going to my experimental box, but man am I happy with this thing.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The air rushing by my grilles is louder than the actual fan, even at 700 rpm. Even with 4 of them in my case, the sound isn't much louder than a light breeze through a half open window.
Cons: The build quality leaves something to be desired, as the plastic is very thin.
The static pressure on these is non-existent, I'm talking under 0.6 mmH20, so keep these away from congested areas.
Other Thoughts: Keep in mind I am comparing these to Noctua, Corsair and Scythe, so this is still quite a good fan. It could just be a little better made for over $20.READ FULL REVIEW
