NETGEAR WNR2000-100NAS Wireless-N Router 802.11b/g/n up to 300Mbps/ 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port x4

Pros: No issues when it is working; set and forget.

Cons: When something weird is happening to your network, it probably would be this router.

Other Thoughts: I started having problems with it less than a year after purchasing this router for home use (losing settings after power cycling). After opening two tickets with Netgear the router was replaced for a working one. About two months ago the replacement lost settings after power cycling, too, but I hope it was just a one-time glitch. About a month after this incident the replacement stopped working completely, can't connect to it at all. I have same router at work that I had for a couple of years, and never had a problem with it as far as I remember. Maybe it's juts bad luck, maybe hardware got worse with time.

ASUS Laptop F75VD-NS51 Intel Core i5 3230M (2.60 GHz) 6 GB Memory 750 GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GT 610M 17.3

Pros: Not yet found

Cons: Computer tries to access an empty DVD drive randomly from time to time and usually freezes at those moments

Other Thoughts: I also found that a screw from the bottom went missing and the rest were not tight enough. Sent the laptop to ASUS for repairs. Got it back a week later. The DVD drive now for some reason says Blu Ray Disc on it, even though under hardware info it's still the same Slimtype DVD A, and it's still being randomly accessed for no apparent reason, even adfter factory reset with just Windows updates installed. There was also a sound of a loose part rolling inside. Couldn't figure out where it comes from until I removed the battery, and a screw fell out. Put it back in, tightened all the screws again. Will send it back to ASUS for more repairs. So far this unit and repair attempts by ASUS are awful.
