Pros: Compact, USB3, accepts many types of cards
Cons: The MicroSD is not obvious as to which way the card inserts. (The contacts are on the side toward the top of the case. Top = blue light and most of the writing. The printing on the MicroSD goes toward the bottom. Bottom = where the USB connector stores.)
Other Thoughts: My earlier post was "DOA the MicroSD does not show". I wanted to let you know that the replacement arrived and seems to work fine, although I only have SD and MicroSD cards with me right now, so cannot test every feature. But, those two types work fine. And, I used a 2GB and 8GB MicroSD. Both seemed fine. I do not have my USB3 computer and have only tried the USB2.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: small and USB3
Cons: This unit is defective. I am asking for replacement and will let you know how that turns out.
FYI Also, slide the USB cable to the side to remove from storage position. It was not obvious at first and there are few instructions. The is like a nail head on the back of the USB plug that slides into a keyhole slot. Slide the plug towards the writing on the back of the unit and it lifts out easily. Just pull up and you may ruin something. It is a reasonable design, but you need to know what you are up against BEFORE breaking it. I got lucky.
