Pros: Thick, matte PCB
Cons: Would be better if they move chipset and wifi down and cpusocket up...CM GeminII M4 blocks PCI-E.
Other Thoughts: 16GB Corsair XMS3
CM GeminII M4
Mushkin 120GB SSD
Xeon E3 1245 V2
This review is from: DIYPC V3Plus-B Black Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case
Fully Aluminum with sufficiently soft feel
Rubber padded HDD mounts
Side and bottom panels come off
Vents at bottom of case as well
ATX size PSU mount
Cons: Integrated standoffs seem flimsy
No fan or even a spot to put a reasonably sized fan
Aluminum got slightly warped during build, not major.
Power button feels cheap
Could use removable motherboard tray/panel
Other Thoughts: Will not fit PSU longer than OCZ StealthXStream
Plug PSU and front panel connectors before installing PSU
Fits CM GeminII M4, no taller or else the fan would be intaking no air due to the PSU blocking airflow.
Xeon E3 1245V2
Gigabyte GA H77N WiFi
CM GeminII M4
Mushkin Chronos 120GB
16GB Corsair XMS3
Pros: This graphics card uses a dual slot cooler that vents the hot air out the back of your case, unlike the other cooler. The exhaust is barely hot, since it is 40nm. XFX has really good warranty as well. Runs Crysis alright. Better than 4830 and 9800GT and nearly as good as a 4850/9800GTX
Cons: Pics? As of now they are on the XFX 4890 Page for some odd reason, search: XFX HD-489A-ZDDC in the newegg search box
IGNORE THIS WHEN PICS ARE RELOCATED.
Other Thoughts: System:
AMD Ph.II 550BE @ 3.6GHZ
DFI 790FX DDR3 mobo
3GB DDR3 1333
2XSeagate 7200.12 250GB
Usind it for media centre
This would be freaky fast if they put the full 800SP, put 2GB of DDR5 and increased the memory bus to 512 bit.
I can run crysis on 1920X1200 on High with playable frames (about 25-ish?) In comparison, my 4890 can run it on Very High with 2XAA ~ 23FPS on my C2D system.
