This review is from: Bose AE2 Audio Headphones - Black
Pros: Lightweight and comfortable.
Cons: I'm a fan of Bose products. I've had several pair of the triport tp1a headphones for several years. I' love them. Also have Bose speakers for my computer at home and love them. So I bought these headphones as a replacement for my headset at work, because the leather around the muffs is flaking off and making a mess. I got the AE2. The sound is NOWHERE even close to the Triport. Some of my favorite songs sound like you are in a tunnel or listening to a cell phone on the AE2. Extremely poor audio quality. Goes in and out. Left them on overnight to see if they would burn in. Nope. Still sounds terrible. I'll leave them on over the weekend but I don't see that helping any. Seriously disappointed. Think I will either look for the Triport model or some other brand next time.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Lightweight. Nice form factor. Stays cool. Plenty of inputs.
Cons: The touchpad is awful. Barely works at all. Frustrating to use in those instances when you need it. And the keyboard? It is worse. On average 2-3 keys fail to register per sentence. The left CTRL key fails about 75% of the time, no matter how hard you hit it. Makes it very hard to use the keyboard for work. Less problematic for games, but some games (e.g. Starcraft) still require you to make use of the CTRL key, and its all but impossible to play those games well on the default hardware. Purchased the laptop in April so apparently not all vendors have the new keyboards yet.
Other Thoughts: If I had it to do over again I am not sure if I would buy another MSI. I love the weight of the laptop, and the cooling system, but the lousy keyboard is driving me nuts. Manufacturer authorized an RMA, but I have to send the keyboard in for who knows how long before I will have a working laptop -- unacceptable when I paid more than $2000 for it. Should have gone Alienware or Asus.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000
Pros: I use these both work and home (programming at work, gaming and writing at home). At one point I replaced the 4000 with a 6000 (preferred the way the keys felt). Got mad and thwacked the 6000. It stopped working. Bought a 2000. The G key stopped working. This keyboard came back out of hiding and still works. I've never actually had one fail. I just like to try new things. Used this one for years before replacing it, and the only reason I replaced it was because it got all gunked up. Still, works. Gunk and all.
Cons: As others have said it is large. Definitely not for small desks. Make sure you have the space. Otherwise, none.
Other Thoughts: Hard to beat for the price. Best piece of hardware MS makes for the PC, IMO.READ FULL REVIEW
