1 out of 5 eggs not long for this world 04/18/2016

This review is from: Rosewill Stallion Series RD450-2-DB 450W ATX V2.2 Power Supply

Pros: Works somewhat

Cons: Not long lived

Other Thoughts: Bought this power supply in September 2014. It died in April 2016. Nuff said, really. Am I right?

Kingston 16GB DataTraveler G4 16G 16 G USB 3.0 Flash Pen Thumb Drive DTIG4/16GB with USB Lanyard
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Works.

Cons: Doesn't come with a lanyard.

Other Thoughts: Come on, it's just a thumb drive. It works. I wish it came with a lanyard, but that's a small gripe. It does at least have a loop for a lanyard.

SYBA SY-PEX40039 Plug-in Card SATA III (6.0Gb/s) Controller Card

3 out of 5 eggs So-so SATA card 08/15/2013

This review is from: SYBA SY-PEX40039 Plug-in Card SATA III (6.0Gb/s) Controller Card

Pros: Cheap
Easy to install
Comes with a low-profile bracket, if you need that

Cons: Quite finicky

Other Thoughts: This card arrived in an Iocrest box. Whatever. I tried it first in a 1x PCIe slot. It was slower than my mobo on-board SATA (as determined by AS SSD). I decided to try it in a 16x PCIe slot. Well, the card installed just fine in Windows 7 with my SSD booting off the mobo SATA, but when I connected it to boot off the card, it wouldn't boot. I tried a few things and for some reason plugging the SSD into the card Port 0, and a SATA hard drive into Port 1 did the trick. Very finicky.

My SATA III SSD runs at 380MB/s, so just a little bit more than SATA II speeds.
