BYTECC MIDP-HM005 Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 5

5 out of 5 eggs Great adapter 06/16/2014

This review is from: BYTECC MIDP-HM005 Mini DisplayPort to HDMI 5" Adapter

Pros: It's a great adapter, and does exactly what it's supposed to. Mine hasn't had any issues with data loss, unlike the one that it replaced.

Works exactly as advertised!

Cons: None, yet. These, as everything else, fail over time, but that's hardly a con. It's simply expected.

Other Thoughts: Comparatively, and vaguely speaking, this item was offered at a much better price here on Newegg, than anywhere else that I checked. Thank you, Newegg!

Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I53570K

Pros: Out of the box, it's super fast, at 3.4GHz, and is steadily overclockable through Intel's OC utility. It's all stuff that you've seen before, in all the other reviews, but nevertheless, it's worth the praise.

I came to Intel from the first gen of AMD's Phenom, eating away at 125W, down to this fit 77W consumption. It gives a little more headroom for a more powerful graphics card, without having to upgrade my PSU again.

Cons: Really? Cons?

Other Thoughts: It's great. Best I can see in its price range, without taking the steep jump up to a good i7.

NZXT LEXA S LEXS - 001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

4 out of 5 eggs It's held up 01/02/2014

This review is from: NZXT LEXA S LEXS - 001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It's worked for what I've needed it to. The USB ports are on the side, which is nice, seeing as at the time of its release, many manufacturers were putting the ports inside of the door, so that you couldn't close it with anything plugged in.

It's nice and roomy inside, with decent options for cable management - decent, but not superb.

It also has great ventilation, bringing in air from the bottom, and "exhaling" it out the side.

Cons: The fan controller doesn't seem to work well, if at all. I've plugged it in and run a fan utility to track the speeds, but turning the knobs makes no change. They're there for decoration, I suppose. It's best just to clip those wires, to get them out of the way. They end up just making your case a mess.

Other Thoughts: Even with the one gripe, I would recommend this case to anyone looking for a sleek, low-management case, for a decent price.
